Terms of Use

Effective 21 October 2026. This version replaces the terms dated 15 July 2023.

These terms govern your use of the flag, country and state or province quiz apps published by Nur Ameerul Ameen bin Nor Hassan ("Ameerul" on Google Play, "Nur Ameerul" on the App Store, brand name MeenWise; "we", "us"). The apps are listed in section 2 of the Privacy Policy. By using an app you agree to these terms; if you do not agree, please do not use it. The terms of the store you downloaded the app from (Google Play or the App Store) also apply.

1. The apps

The apps are quizzes about the flags, capitals and maps of the world's countries and about the flags, symbols, maps and capitals of one country's states, provinces or other regions. They are for learning and entertainment. We try to keep the content accurate, but names, borders and symbols change and simplifications are needed for a game, so we cannot guarantee it is complete or current. Do not rely on it for official, legal or navigational purposes.

2. Leaderboards and your leaderboard name

Your leaderboard name, state or province and results are public to other players of the same app. Choose a name that is not offensive, hateful, sexual or threatening, does not impersonate anyone, does not advertise, and does not contain anyone's personal data, including your own full name. Do not cheat: no modified apps, automation or manipulated results. We may change names and remove results or players from the leaderboards when these rules are broken or a result is impossible, without notice.

3. Ads and the "Remove Ads" purchase

The apps are free and show ads. Where offered, the one-time "Remove Ads" purchase removes the ads in that app on the store account that bought it; it can be restored on your devices using the same store account. Payments, refunds and cancellations are handled by Google Play or Apple under their terms. The purchase does not unlock other features and does not apply to our other apps.

4. Images, maps and other content

Flags, coats of arms, seals and emblems are official symbols of their governments and remain theirs. Images come from the public domain or are used under their licences (mainly Wikimedia Commons, Flagpedia, the OCHA Humanitarian Data Exchange, DataMeet, the U.S. Census Bureau, Natural Earth and Pixabay); each app credits the images that require it under Profile → Image credits, and the Privacy Policy, section 12, lists the sources. The apps are not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any government or public body. Maps are simplified for the game and imply no opinion on the legal status of any territory or the delimitation of any border. Rights holders can ask for a correction or removal at meenzerdev@gmail.com.

Everything else in the apps, including their design, code, text, quizzes and app icons, belongs to us. You may use the apps for your own personal, non-commercial use; you may not copy, resell, modify or reverse engineer them except where the law allows.

5. Privacy

How the apps handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

6. Availability and changes

We may update, change or stop any app, feature or leaderboard, and may reset leaderboards, at any time. Some features need an internet connection.

7. Disclaimer and liability

The apps are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, scores or leaderboard positions, arising from your use of the apps; our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app's "Remove Ads" purchase, if any. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live. Disputes go to the courts of Malaysia unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring them before your local courts.

9. Changes to these terms

We will publish any change on this page with a new effective date and, for material changes, announce it in the apps or their store listings. Continuing to use an app after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms. If these terms are translated, the English version prevails.
